As a small business owner, it’s essential to keep up with the latest digital tools. There are so many available tools these days that make it easier to manage your business and maximise efficiency but you don’t always need to have the latest and greatest tool around.
What’s the point of setting up and using a tool if you are only going to change to different one again in a few months time? Where’s the efficiency in that I ask!
Now I’m going to share my favourite digital tools!
Canva is a great design tool that helps you create content quickly and easily. It has hundreds of templates that make it easy to create stunning visuals for web pages or social media posts in minutes. The user-friendly interface makes it simple to customize designs as well.
Plus, there are tons of free features you can use such as images and icons. And even if you choose to pay for the pro version, over the course of a year, it will definitely pay for itself.
Asana is project management tools that allows you to assign tasks to team members and track their progress in real time. It also makes collaboration with remote teams easier since everyone can stay on the same page without having to be in the same physical location. Additionally, Asana offers an integration with other popular apps such as Trello or Slack for even greater convenience.
MailerLite is an email marketing platform that enables you to send emails to your contacts without any coding experience needed. You can use it to create beautiful newsletters and automated emails that reach all your subscribers at once. Plus, MailerLite integrates seamlessly with other services like WordPress or Shopify for further convenience. PLUS I’m MailerLite Certified use this platform myself as well as for other clients. There is so much that you can do compared to other email marketing platforms on the free version.
Google Profile is a great way to showcase your business online and increase visibility on search engine results pages (SERPs). Having a Google profile will help potential customers find your website and learn more about what you have to offer them as well as locate you on Google Maps. Setting up a profile is free and only takes a few minutes!
Zoom is an incredibly useful tool for video conferencing with clients or colleagues from anywhere in the world. You can set up private meetings or group calls, share documents during meetings, record sessions for future reference purposes, etc…with many features are available at no cost!
UpdraftPlus is an essential plugin if you want your website’s data backed up safely in case something goes wrong—it helps protect against cyberattacks or data loss due to server failure or human error. With UpdraftPlus installed on your site, you’ll never have to worry about losing valuable information again! It is easy to set up, allows you to choose from a variety of backup locations such as Dropbox, Google, Email and more. I currently use the free version and it has been so easy to use. There is of course a paid version if required.
These are just some of my favourite digital tools for small businesses out there—and there are plenty more where these came from!
