How to Create a Blog Post Using Elementor

Elementor is a website builder that enables business owners to create stunning websites with an intuitive drag-and-drop interface, including for blog posts.

Create Post

Once you are in the Admin dashboard, navigate to the “Posts” > “Add New” button. At this stage, you can add the blog post title then click on the EDIT WITH ELEMENTOR button.

This will open up the following screen:

The next step is to either drag an element (from the left hand side of the screen) to the centre area or click on the + to select the structure of the area eg: one or multiple columns (this will be dependant on your layout).

Once you’ve selected an element you can start to add content and/or add images depending on what you are adding to your blog post.

If you’ve selected either the HEADER or TEXT EDITOR elements, you will need to add the content into the menu box on the left hand side of the page.

There are other editing options for each of the boxes that allows you to adjust different settings such as:

  • Style eg: colour, font size etc (note they will automatically be set based on your standard website settings already enabled/set up when you created the site).
  •  Advanced eg: margins/adding, effects, backgrounds, borders, responsiveness etc.

Once you have finished your blog post, click on the EYE (bottom left hand corner) to view how your blog looks. If you’ve proof-read your article and all is ok, then click on PUBLISH.

If you want to schedule your blog post for a later date/time, click on the ^ beside publish and select SAVE DRAFT. Then go to the three lines in the top left hand corner and EXIT. Once back on the WP BLOCK PAGE, you can then click on the hyperlinked word beside publish to bring up the calendar to select the date and time for the article to be published.

Ensure you click on the desktop/mobile icon and look at the responsiveness of your article on desktop, tablet and mobile and adjust if necesary.
